Commercial Construction Totals $12.2M through August
Fifteen new commercial construction projects have surpassed $12.2 million through the first eight months of 2022, according to construction permits through the City of Conway.
The biggest project is Crain Genesis of Conway at 1075 Collier for $4.8 million. The construction is being done by Harco Constructors.
The second-largest project is the $2.1 million construction of Kum & Go at 508 Oak St. Being completed by The Hansen Company.
The last seven-figure project is Horton’s at 2055 Harkrider. The $1.6 million project is being done by Corco Construction.
The 15 projects averaged more than $877,000 each.
Through the same time period in 2021, there were 18 projects totaling $31.5 million. More than half of that was tied up in two projects, the St. Joseph High School ($10.9 million) and Courtyard by Marriott ($9.1 million). The remaining 16 projects totaled $11.5 million.
Residential Permits Top $51M So Far in 2022
Through August, permits for single-family homes have topped $51 million, according to records from the City of Conway.
The 215 permits have averaged $240,000. Rausch Coleman has applied for the most permits with 91. The new homes have averaged 2,547 square feet.
Through the first eight months of 2021, single-family home permits totaled more than $53.1 million and averaged $210,700.
